We have an exciting opportunity to join our amazing integrated therapy team . A s a part of Children’s SALT, you will be part of the Children and Young People’s Integrated Therapy team . There will also be dedicated time and opportunities to shadow therapists in various settings, attend training sessions and develop your knowledge and skills within the wider school age therapy team .
You will be responsible for the planning and management of your own school-age caseload and service delivery using an impact-based model of clinical decision making . You also have the opportunity to actively contribute to service development and provide supervision and support to junior staff members if this is an area that interests you.
This role includes supporting children who attend mainstream schools and specialist resources in Wokingham .
W e are happy to consider those looking for part time or flexible working patterns . The role will involve travel to several sites but also leaves room for some home working.
Our CYPIT service supports children and young people from birth to 19 years of age across Berkshire. We’re an integrated therapy service, committed to impact-based clinical decision making and co-production of therapy plans with our families and partners.
To function as a specialist autonomous clinician, with a role in supporting delivery of the CYPIT model, development of the CYPF (Children and Young People and Families model) and provide support to other more junior CYPIT therapists and non-professional staff.
To provide high quality assessment and interventions for children and young people with developmental / complex needs in area of specialist expertise , using evidence based/person-centered principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
To provide specialist therapy input into clinical services within a designated area/team, contributing to defined projects as requested by Clinical Leads.

Responsibilities:

Qualified Speech and Language Therapist; registered with HCPC.
E xperience (including placement experience) in working with children or adults with complex or neurological needs.
Ability and readiness to travel to multiple sites within central Reading.
