Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Support Technician to join our Team in the Children’s Outpatient Department at Ipswich Hospital.
Clinical Support Technicians are a key part of our team and support the Registered Nurses and medical teams in providing high quality care to our patients.

If you like to be challenged, are able to work in a fast paced environment, working as part of a team and have experience of working with Children across the age continuum, then this could be the job for you.
As part of the role you will need excellent communication skills and the clinical skills required to undertake a number of procedures to facilitate patient care and treatments. This includes but not limited to;
Venepuncture
Cannulation
ECG
- To support the clinical health care team in maintaining an efficient environment within Outpatients.
- To undertake clinical skills efficiently that will in turn enable patients to have appropriate investigations and the means to receive treatment
- To work effectively, as a Clinical Support Technician (CST) who can plan and prioritise workload.
- To be responsible for effective communication with the wider healthcare team
- To work flexibly to meet the demands of the service
- To support patients, relatives/carers attending the Children’s Outpatient Department
- To work within Trust, Divisional and Unit Guidelines and Competencies
