ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Proven (2-5 years) experience in people management with the ability to develop and train others.
  • Considerable (5-8 years) experience in modern manufacturing practices and technologies and be able to demonstrate a strong focus and results orientation towards world’s best practice is required.
  • Considerable (5-8 years) powder coating and related system experience.
  • Demonstrated high levels of analytical skills.
  • Considerable (5-8 years) experience in process engineering, with an emphasis on metal treatment processes.
  • Proven (2-5 years) experience in managing product profitability.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is responsible for the day-to-day planning and management of Capral’s state of the art SAT Vertical Paintline at Huntingwood, NSW. The role will be responsible for exceeding business objectives in the development of worlds-best manufacturing practices.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and control performance, targets, and key performance indicators to meet business objectives.
  • Increase productivity of labour and plant by monitoring performance against set targets.
  • Monitor and improve customer service to internal and external customers ensuring all delivery schedules and deadlines are met.
  • Focus on quality improvements and provide a prompt response to customer complaints and / or returns.
  • Establish optimal manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
  • Take full accountability for personal safety and well-being, develop an understanding of risk minimisation, and be committed to achieving the highest possible standards for Safety, Health and the Environment (SH&E)
  • Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators, and visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate effective people management in line with Capral’s business practices including timely and comprehensive Performance Planning and Review, appropriate and consistent Performance Improvement, and pro-active Absence Management.
  • Ensure a competent and motivated workforce through effective communication, recruitment and selection and training and development.
  • Other key accountabilities appropriate to the banding of the position as determined by the manager of the role.
