This post is for 22.5 hours
The Pan Cheshire Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) Administrator will be hosted by the Mid Cheshire Trust NHS Foundation Trust and will be a member of their Women’s and Children’s Division.
The post holder is require to provide a comprehensive and efficient administrative support service to the Pan Cheshire Child Death Review process, the Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) and offer support to all partners involved in a child death (0-18 years) across Cheshire East, Cheshire West, Halton and Warrington.
The Post holder will undertake a wide range of administrative tasks, including personal responsibility for a number of routine delegated tasks including supporting, coordinating and sharing information from the Electronic Child Death Overview Panel (ECDOP). The post holder will be required to use the eCDOP system to monitor case progress, co-ordinate Child Death Review (CDR) Meetings and to assist the JAR team with information gathering and collating data. Training will be provided on this system. The post-holder will require a high level of organisational skills and a willingness to develop their role within this specialist area ensuring that a high-quality review, reporting and support service is maintained.

Responsibilities:

Developing and maintaining effective and efficient systems for the management of the Pan Cheshire Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) and its functions.
Overseeing, administering, and managing the eCDOP database receiving all initial notifications of child deaths that occur across Cheshire including managing user accounts.
Sending requests to relevant agencies for agency checks and completion of reports; outstanding agency reports through appropriate persuasion and negotiation, when timescales for completion are exceeded and monitor alerts.
Recording the CDOP’s conclusions and submitting data to the National Child Mortality Database and Department of Health and Social Care as requested.
Updating and maintain an database with historical information on Pan Cheshire Child Deaths and pulling off reports as and when required.
Preparing papers and reports for CDOP, including analysing the data extracts.
Providing PA functionality to the Independent Chair including routine secretarial duties such as minuting of meetings, travel and diary arrangements, web and information support, and other administration duties as they arise for relevant members of the panel.
Acting as a Single Point of Contact for child deaths occurring across Cheshire East, Cheshire West, Halton, and Warrington
