Description:

HOW WILL I HELP?

The GTS Document Support team supports the Global Transaction Services division in Westpac’s institutional bank with documenting its banking arrangements with customers. GTS Document Support work with a broad range of documents (bank standard, industry standard and individually tailored), and Paralegals gain exposure to the operation of these documents and the underlying financial products and services.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting a range of agreements relating to GTS customers and products, using set templates;
  • Advising the business on queries relating to documentation, negotiation and execution;
  • Initial review of documents, amendments and other correspondence from business partners, lawyers and customers;
  • Engaging lawyers where specific legal advice is needed on a matter, providing clear instructions and working closely with them to respond to the business; and
  • Looking for opportunities to improve the team’s processes and documents and working with lawyers and the Practice Group Head to action these.
