QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor of Legal Practice or equivalent experience.
  • Training: Willingness to follow necessary legal training or having equivalent on-the-job experience to build a strong understanding of key corporate housekeeping and legal compliance concepts and terminology.
  • Attention to Detail: Extremely accurate with a keen eye for detail and adherence to deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with the use, maintenance, and setup of databases, such as SharePoint.
  • Autonomy: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Positive attitude, proactive communication skills, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Reliability: Trustworthy, dependable, and a team player.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.

Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Legal Documentation: Prepare, review, and manage corporate legal documents (e.g., minutes of Board of Directors, General Meetings, Powers of Attorney) for the group legal entities.
  • Mandate Management: Ensure timely renewal and publication of mandates for the group entities.
  • Transaction Support: Assist in the preparation of extraordinary transactions and operations, coordinating with notaries and reviewing relevant documentation.
  • Compliance Assistance: Provide support to the Compliance Officer and compliance workgroup, including assistance with insider trading legislation.
  • Database Management: Maintain and upgrade the Group Legal Databases, including corporate housekeeping documents, contracts, Intellectual Property, and the Group Legal Chart.
  • Document Requests: Follow up on requests from legal counsels and other departments for corporate documents and/or legalization of documents.
  • Contract Management: Assist with the management of the new contract management system, including metadata entries and access management.
  • Trade Compliance: Support Trade Compliance searches for various business units.
  • Administrative Support: Handle administrative follow-up of all invoices related to the legal department.
  • Project Support: Support the legal team in ad hoc projects, including e-learning programs, drafting legal correspondence, memoranda, templates, and translations.
  • Risk Support: Assist with filing insurance policies, documents, certificates, and follow-up on invoices related to Risk.
