C.A.T. Inc, a transportation company in business for over 42 years, is looking for a dynamic candidate for the following opportunity at its head office in Coteau-du-Lac.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years’ experience as a paralegal or legal assistant
  • Familiarity with legal documents and terminology
  • Working knowledge of litigation management software systems
  • Knowledge of contract and claims management as asset
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office suite, mainly Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Able to work as a team with attorneys and other colleagues
  • Demonstrate a courteous and professional demeanor
  • Superior written and oral communication skills in both English and French
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines
  • Transport/logistic experience is an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Write, transcribe, and proofread legal and contract documents
  • Manage external requests, claims and insurance certificates
  • Process third party and vendor invoices
  • File, organize, scan, manage, copy, and fax legal documents in a timely manner
  • Answer phone calls, take notes/messages and redirect calls when appropriate
  • Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminder
  • Perform administrative tasks related to the position, including triage and management of requests, claims and billing
