Prologis is seeking a Paralegal to serve our Northern Europe business. The position will be based in our Düsseldorf office, reporting to the Vice President & Head of Legal Counsel for Northern Europe and working closely with our real estate teams in the region.
The successful candidate will join an established legal team, comprising 61 individuals, at one of the world’s largest real estate companies. The main focus of the role will be providing legal support on transactions to our dynamic and successful real estate teams in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Belgium.

What you will be working on

Supporting the Legal Counsel for Northern Europe European Legal Team with a broad variety of day-to-day legal issues and specific projects, including:

  • The provision of legal support to the real estate side of the business in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden, (including leasing, sales and purchases, development, construction, project management and facility management));
  • Coordinating and aligning with colleagues in other support teams (e.g. Investment Services, Tax, Accounting and Treasury));
  • Liaising with corporate and other regional legal teams on pan-European projects;
  • Country specific assistance to the pan-European corporate legal team;
  • Assisting with contributions of properties to our real estate funds based in Luxembourg;
  • Assisting with the management of litigation and other claims;
  • Legal research and projects;
  • Help in the preparation of investment memos for capital deployment decisions;
  • Legal drafting: for example confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, letters of intent, lease agreements and amendments, powers of attorney, and creating and improving templates; and
  • Administrative support on matter management, invoice processing etc. including independent communication and management of external law firms, notaries, tax advisors etc. in various jurisdictions.

Your qualifications and experience

  • Degree in law, paralegal, transaction lawyer or legal executive qualification (e.g., 1st state exam / Wirtschaftsjurist / LL.M.), basic knowledge in German law is an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience in a reputable law firm or in-house international legal department.
  • Legal drafting skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English (proficiency in other European languages is an advantage)).
  • Self-directed and motivated, taking pride in your work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and solution orientated.
  • Efficient, organized and diligent.
  • Flexible and able to respond positively to shifting demands.
  • An ability to multitask, prioritize and anticipate potential issues.
