Description:

Robert Half is seeking an experienced paralegal for a contract-based opportunity with a law firm in Blue Bell. This role is primarily responsible for supporting general liability cases, coordinating Independent Medical Examinations (IME), handling discovery work, motions, and record ordering. You will also be expected to keep things organized for a team of attorneys. This position is assisting with a mat leave coverage but has potential to transition into a permanent role. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days on site in Blue Bell while 2 days will be remote.

Responsibilities

  • Support general liability cases by conducting research, preparing legal documents, and coordinating with clients and other legal professionals.
  • Schedule and coordinate Independent Medical Examinations (IME) as part of the discovery process.
  • Manage discovery work, including the collection, organization, and review of documents and information relevant to the case.
  • Prepare and file legal motions as needed to advance the case in court.
  • Order records and subpoenas through a records company, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of necessary documents.
  • Maintain high levels of organization for multiple attorneys, managing their schedules, and ensuring they have the necessary resources for their cases.
  • Utilize various software tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Case Management Software, LexisNexis, and Microsoft Excel for efficient case management and documentation.
  • Handle billing functions, calendar management, and claim administration tasks as part of the paralegal duties.
  • Actively participate in complaint handling and liability insurance processes.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Auto General Liability (AGL) Claims and apply this knowledge in relevant cases.
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with Case Management Software
