Description:

Our client, a boutique New Jersey law firm, is seeking a Personal Injury Paralegal with 1-3 years of experience to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in personal injury law, familiar with the legal procedures and protocols related to personal injury cases in New Jersey, and possess excellent research, communication, and organizational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. A minimum of 1 to 3 years of directly relevant experience as a paralegal in personal injury law.
  2. Paralegal Certification preferred.
  3. Familiarity with New Jersey state laws and court procedures relating to personal injury cases.
  4. Proficient in the use of legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple cases simultaneously.
  7. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  8. Demonstrated integrity and adherence to professional ethics.

  • Possess a minimum of one year experience in the paralegal field
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Personal Injury Law
  • Experience in Personal Injury Litigation is required
  • Proficient in performing Paralegal duties and responsibilities
  • Skilled in Litigation Paralegal tasks and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented with high levels of accuracy in work
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Bachelor’s degree in law or related field is desirable
  • Paralegal certification is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assisting attorneys in the preparation and filing of personal injury lawsuits.
  2. Preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
  3. Conducting legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles.
  4. Managing case files, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely filing of legal documents.
  5. Interviewing clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information.
  6. Coordinating and attending client meetings, depositions, mediations, and trial dates.
  7. Assisting with trial preparation including evidence organization, trial exhibits, and witness preparation.
  8. Communicating with courts, opposing counsel, and insurance companies as needed.
