Description:

WHAT DO I NEED?

This role would suit a law graduate in the process of becoming qualified as a legal practitioner, an experienced paralegal, or a law student with a degree of professional experience who is looking to develop their drafting and negotiation skills and gain experience in financial services. Ideally you will be able to commit to full time hours.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to build and sustain key relationships with business partners, WIB Legal colleagues and law firms
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • A self-starter, with initiative to drive matters forward and willingness to learn
  • Strong time management skills
  • Available to work a later start and finish time each day to support the Financial Markets business in London during their morning hours
  • Experience with ISDA negotiations as a Paralegal will be looked upon favourably but is not essential for the role.
  • Experience in helping to coordinate a team and/or key business processes will also be looked upon favourably but is not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and working with the business to negotiate agreements.
  • Working closely with financial markets lawyers as required.
  • Updating key bank systems with relevant information and participating in associated risk control and data quality activities
