Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Working under the direction of the chief physician/investigator and the Staff Paramedic in the Clinic, the Paramedic is responsible for subject safety, health, and well-being. The Paramedic continually monitors the subject population at all times, noting and treating Adverse Events (AE’s) as needed.
Will provide ongoing routine and emergency medical care for all subjects as well as more intensive monitoring, including cardiac telemetry monitoring, as needed. This position acts as the primary assistant to the Staff Paramedic in observing, documenting, and treating AE’s as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS -
Education and Experience: 1-2 years’ experience as a Paramedic on an ALS unit and in a clinical setting Texas Certified EMT-Paramedic, American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Knowledge, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Skills and Abilities: Strong Paramedic skills in all areas Ability to perform intramuscular, Intradermal, Intravenous and Subcutaneous injections Must possess excellent phlebotomy skills Strong interpersonal skills required Strong communication skills (verbal and written) required Ability to manage multiple complex tasks effectively Ability to manage potential emergency medical situations effectively Pharmaceutical Product Development, LLC is firmly committed to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and prohibits employment discrimination for employees and applicants based on age, race, color, pregnancy, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, marital status, citizenship, disability or protected veteran or other status protected by federal, state, and/or local law
