In the ever expanding city of Los Angeles, Trojans need reliable and convenient transportation options. USC Transportation has risen to meet that need, operating parking structures, busses, student-run Campus Cruisers and a fuel station. To meet the unique needs of each Trojan, Transportation also coordinates with numerous taxi companies and rental car agencies to provide a vast source of transit options. A division of USC Auxiliary Services, Transportation is always looking for new ways to make USC safer and more convenient for students, athletes, faculty, staff, and visitors.
We are seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer to join our rapidly growing team.

THE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Patrol assigned area by vehicle or on foot to ensure compliance with existing parking ordinances and departmental and University policies.
  • Maintain close communications with dispatching staff, using two-way radios or cell phones.
  • Write warnings and citations for illegally parked vehicles.
  • Mark tires of parked vehicles with chalk and record time of marking. Return at regular intervals to ensure that parking limits are not exceeded
  • Respond to and makes radio dispatch calls regarding parking violations and complaints.
  • Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance with a computerized hand held computer. Impound, boot, or relocate vehicles as directed
  • Assist in the collection and security of all monies received through parking meters, multi-space machines, pay on foot technology, and any other means of collecting parking revenues and fees.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

THE QUALIFIERS:

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma.
  • Minimum Experience: 6 months.
  • Minimum Field of Expertise: Valid CA driver’s license required. Position will participate in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Pull Notice System. A copy of DMV record will be required as a final condition of employment. For more information please visit the policy website.
