Description:
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Thorough working knowledge of the Cowichan culture and community an asset
- Extensive geographic knowledge of the Quw’utsun Territory including the southern Gulf Islands
- Knowledge of Cowichan Tribes’ departments, committee processes and programs
- Knowledge of governance structures and ability to assess governance models that may be successful for a NMCAR
- Computer proficiency in a variety of programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, IMAP and GEOBC
- Well-developed interpersonal communications skills, both verbal and written
- Competent research skills
- Ability to process, summarize and communicate large amounts of information
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
