Description:

Due to an increase in project demand, Purcell are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Part 1 Architectural Assistant to join our Norwich studio. This role will be to aid the Studio and established teams that are currently working on a diverse and exciting range of architecture, masterplanning, heritage and interiors projects.

The successful candidates will display a keen attention to detail, innovative design and graphical communication. You will need to be able to display a can-do attitude, willingness to learn and develop an understanding of Purcell’s projects and culture.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Learn, apply and share the core expertise and specialisms of Purcell, including architectural conservation
Work closely with our existing core team delivering future and ongoing projects
Assist in the 2D and 3D drawing and modelling production
Contribute to developing concept, schematic and detail design packages
Assist and undertake site surveys and visits
Attend and minute project meetings
Preparation and development of presentation documents
Material sourcing and schedule for interiors led projects
Contributing to the development of a competent team
Demonstrate and encourage Purcell’s ‘One-Family’ value
Develop and enhance our design reputation.
Adherence to current technical standards - including Purcell’s & wider industry standards
Strive for client satisfaction
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in architectural studies
Proficiency in 2D drafting such as AutoCAD, 3D modelling in Sketchup and development of imagery in Photoshop and/or other graphic presentation software
Good presentation skills (Visual, written & spoken) and contribution to high quality documentation
Up to date knowledge of industry technical standards and statutory requirements
Contribute to the seamless running of architectural projects to the highest standards
Effectively communicate at all levels (internal & external)
Developing networking and relationship building skills
Contributing to high quality bids
Ability to successfully interpret briefs
Ability to utilise analytical skills to organise and plan workload
Ability to manage self and work under pressure and meet deadlines
Personable, confident and with a strong sense of team spirit.
