We have partnered with a leading semi-state body to welcome a Part-Qualified Accountant to join their team for a 12-14 month contract. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role with a mix of month-end, financial reporting duties and exciting exposure to the commercial elements of finance business partnering.

REQUIREMENTS

• Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent is essential
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounting function
• Strong financial modelling experience highly advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with problem solving skills
• Ambitious, self motivated and high performing
• Keen commercial awareness

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and performance packs
• Prepare monthly general ledger and account reviews
• Process monthly journals for assigned business areas
• Provide active support, financial modelling, financial analysis and reporting to drive the delivery of strong business performance
• Identify key financial and management information required by the business to support decision making, and lead the development of appropriate reports
• Deliver support and analysis for forecasts and budgets
• Ad-hoc duties and project work as required
