Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role
The job is for a part-time Academic Staff member for the Vet Nursing team at Wintec’s Animal Technology Department.
The role is hourly paid and will be dependent on skills and experience.

The Academic Staff Member is based in Wintec | Te Pūkenga’s Rotokauri Campus reporting to the Animal Technology Team Manager and will be responsible for:

  • Teaching a range of Vet Nursing theory and/or practical modules across the Vet Nursing Assistant and Diploma programmes.
  • Writing, moderating and marking ākonga/student assessments.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Veterinary Nursing or higher.
  • Have previous experience and knowledge of veterinary clinical nursing skills relevant to a New Zealand context.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a mixed practice environment could be advantageous.
  • Have good digital literacy skills and a working knoweldge of the Microsoft Office suite of software.
