Description:

WE HAVE A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR A PART-TIME EVENING VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST TO JOIN OUR TEAM HERE AT MINIGHTVET CHESTER/WIRRAL!

This is a permanent role, where your new working pattern will include; 2 weeknights (Mondays and Tuesdays), 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday per month. Working hours vary from 6.30 pm-11 pm, 6 pm-11 pm and 10 am – 7 pm.
Holiday cover/overtime may be available so flexibility is a must.
As a receptionist, you will provide a friendly, efficient and professional service to our clients and their animals. You will need to be able to work well within a team, sometimes under high pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Previous veterinary receptionist experience would be preferable but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering the telephone
  • Dealing with clients face to face and over the phone.
  • Answering emails from clients, vets and referring practices.
  • Answering emergency referral phone calls and arranging appointments.
  • Booking appointments
  • Processing prescription requests.
  • Dealing with clients at the reception desk, taking payments and dealing with account enquiries.
  • Answering client’s insurance queries.
  • Liaising with different teams within the practice.
  • General administrator duties such as scanning and filing.
  • Accurately recording client and animal information on our IT system, so good IT skills would be preferable.
  • Working at a fast pace.
  • Cleaning duties are involved.
