JOB SUMMARY:

  • Assisting with both personal and practical care tasks e.g. dressing, washing/bath, very light household work, meal preparation
  • Facilitating independence and social involvement i.e. trips, shopping, banking, community activities
  • Ensure dignity, privacy and independence are maintained and respected at all times
  • Reporting any issues to our Care Manager or Supervisor team.

RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ACCEPTED:

  • Must be enrolled in or have completed a QQI Level 5 Healthcare related course (minimum of Care Skills and Care of the Older Person courses)

OR

  • Must be in the process of completing a Nursing related qualification
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Up-to-date patient moving and handling certificate (desirable)

Responsibilities:

  • Fluent in English
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland
  • Full clean driver’s license with own transport (highly desirable)
