In support of IMSAf’s ongoing efforts to enhance organisational performance and provide employee development opportunities, the company is pleased to invite applications for a P&A Supply Chain Planner in the Commercial Operations Department.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• BSc / BTech in Industrial Engineering / BCom Logistics / BCom in Purchasing
• Minimum of 5 years Automotive experience (Trucks, Passenger and LCV) as well as Parts Purchasing locally and globally.
• At least 2 years experience in supplier development, supplier rating, supplier price negotiations.
• Complete understanding of Truck business at OEM level;
• Power point, Excel, Word, Lay out training material; Strong personal computer skills for reporting, project planning and charting.
• Must have worked with local and international suppliers for automotive spare parts
• Understanding of inventory forecasting using the Lead Time, parts movement, minimum safety stock and stocking policy for both local and import suppliers.
• Good understanding of order analysis, inventory management and supplier development
• Must have previous people leading experience

IN DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF:

• SAP Warehousing system, inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
• Warehousing Template for storage and production preferable
• Isuzu Manufacturing Management (IMM) principles relevant to PDC

• Manage and coordinate the procurement department for P&A in line with the direction of the department to achieve best customer service by ensuring parts availability to satisfy dealer orders.
• This position will be based in the ISUZU PDC in Johannesburg and will work with the procurement team that is geographically based in Gqeberha.
• This position will liaise with the parts sales team on a day-to-day basis for better alignment with regards to any developments in the parts department. The role requires travelling to visit local suppliers to enforce strong relationships between ISUZU and suppliers.
• Adjustments enforcing compliance to policy and procedure, interfacing with suppliers in an efficient and effective way to meet deliverables and Key Performance Indicators.
• Perform budget, project and structural cost analysis of the procurement and interface with the third party to drive cost effectiveness. Will be required to apply and guide team on inventory analysis and manage financials according to the budget.
• Oversee and ensure enough orders are placed with suppliers to be able to satisfy dealer orders.
• Manage the P&A Back Orders with Suppliers. Ensuring all suppliers are kept abreast of the requirements for P&A.
• Conduct monthly stock analysis and identify potential stock scrapping for parts that have already exceeded model runout and parts that suppliers are no longer able to supply.
• Adherence to finance principles for structural and Capex Costs. Co-ordinate any ad hoc projects
