Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties and providing support to the Plant Engineering Department. Process purchase orders and requisitions, verify packing list with purchase orders and invoices, maintain files, and place orders as needed. Create and maintain reports and documentation as required. At the direction of the Planning and Purchasing Supervisor, research and locate vendors and request bids for various products. Monitor and maintain maintenance parts and consumable, inventory levels. Keep supervisor well informed of activities and provide support to maintenance staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English Language
  • Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays if needed
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work in cooperation with others
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to type 35wpm and data entry.
  • Ability to learn computerized inventory systems.
  • Ability to understand facility terminology when needed to issue or order parts.

VISUAL ABILITIES:

Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products, or operate machinery.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ordering parts and consumables and stocking them in correct quantities and locations.
  • Create and document work orders and monitor through completion
  • Ensure parts, materials, and tools are appropriately requisitioned and available to complete work orders
  • Tracks and reports on appropriate metrics to monitor and improve maintenance performance and plant reliability.
  • Works additional hours to support maintenance group.
  • Performs accurate cycle counts to maintain correct inventory levels.
  • Monitors work order backlog, PMs, PdM, and work order records
  • Creates and tracks major repair requests and capital expenditure requests and documentation
  • Files maintenance documents
  • Performs other duties as assigned
