JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION RESPONSIBILITY: The Parts Advisor acts as principal contact between parts department and retail counter customers for the sale of parts and accessories. The primary goals are to provide customer satisfaction and maximize dealership sales of parts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or the equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a Powersports dealership.
  • Proven sales experience in a parts/service related position.
  • Basic working knowledge of Lightspeed DMS highly preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Valid in-state Driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities:

  • To model by example the Company’s mission statement by being an empowered, passionate and positive associate who provides exceptional personalized service to the Company’s guests and community. To live by the Standards of Excellence set forth by Dimmitt Automotive Group.
  • Provide fast and courteous service to retail customers.
  • Sell parts through the use of related item sales techniques.
  • List and price out parts on counter tickets.
  • Provide the necessary information for special orders to the inventory control clerk.
  • Maintain special order parts inventory in a clean and organized manner.
  • Maintain records of all special order parts and notify the customer who made the order.
  • Maintain a customer back order file.
  • Participate in conducting a perpetual inventory.
  • Help maintain parts catalogs, price schedules, and other technical information and bulletins.
  • Keep work area clean, free of debris, safe, and put away loose stock.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as directed by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
