THE OPPORTUNITY

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a knowledgeable Parts Sales Representative to join our team in Coquitlam, BC. As the Parts Sales Representative you will be responsible for handling incoming parts calls and providing technical support and sales support to our customers and the Service department.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • High level customer service skills are critical to success in this role
  • Previous inside sales experience is considered a strong asset
  • Knowledge of automotive or equipment parts an asset
  • Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Superior skills in organization and time management
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including communication with customers and individuals at all levels of the organization, in person, electronically and by telephone
  • Adept at multitasking and managing conflicting priorities in parallel
  • Confident self-starter and team player

Responsibilities:

As the Parts Sales Representative your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain regional/location revenue and margin targets
  • Manage key Parts customers as assigned by manager
  • Provide pricing and availability of parts to our customers
  • Offer customers multiple solutions when available (pricing/availability)
  • Follow up on outstanding quotes, closing all possible orders
  • Manage ordering and delivery of parts, upholding customer commitments
  • Receive and collect payment for customer COD orders
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Identify and request parts that should be added to location inventory
  • Ensure all warehousing standards and practices are maintained
  • Process all customer credits within 48 hours of returned parts
  • Immediately return all unauthorized inventory for credit upon receipt from customers
  • Participate in the training and mentoring of additional personnel when hired
  • Uphold corporate Parts & Service agreement
  • Communicate effectively with Parts Support Teams (Inventory/Admin)
  • Answer branch telephone line, directing customers appropriately
  • Support the shipping and receiving of inbound and outbound orders
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of branch facilities
