Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager – Western Australia (WA) the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Parts Warehouse and ensuring ongoing performance against business objectives. The role will be Residential Monday - Friday and offers a Housing and relocation package
The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for leading a number of Team Leaders across various areas of the Parts Warehouse and undertaking the identification and implementation of strategic and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives within the Warehouse and drives the acceptance of change, whilst ensuring engagement of team members in regards to the change.

Requirements for the role:

  • Extensive logistics and warehousing operations experience, inclusive of at least 5 years’ experience leading a mid-large workforce (10-30 employees), coupled with demonstrated strong knowledge of a current warehouse management system and Lean Warehousing Principles
  • Previous WMS experience including SAP or SCALE/Manhatten
  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Warehousing & Logistics
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Demonstrated experience identifying continuous improvement opportunities within a Warehouse environment and successful change management
  • Excellent knowledge of WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) Legislation coupled with demonstrated application within a warehouse environment

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Provide appropriate leadership and support to team members, coach and mentor on warehousing best practice
  • Ensure all accidents/near miss incidents/hazards are submitted as per WesTrac’s policy
  • Monitor the performance of team members through regular meetings, formal performance reviews and coaching
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and develop business cases for Warehouse Operations Manager endorsement to implement
  • Proactively identify CI initiatives within the Parts Warehouse, build business cases and develop business plans for Warehouse Operations Manager approval to implement and execute
  • Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities with relevant customers and stakeholders and take appropriate action to implement
