Description:

Revolution Roasters in Oceanside, CA is looking for a production assistant to join our pastry team. This position is will require commitment to a midday-afternoon schedule. Our ideal candidate works quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality, is very dependable and self-motivated. The role requires a candidate that is open to training all aspects of the department to become a well rounded, contributing member. This position requires an individual that is passionate about this industry and dedicated to investing their time and energy as we continue to grow as a company. We are currently looking for a part time commitment with the potential for full time in the future.
We take our craft seriously here at Revolution Roasters, which is evident in our pastry program. House-made pastries for a cafe are incredibly unique and something we take great pride in. We use our expertise to create the best quality baked goods, with quarterly menu changes and seasonal influence. We work diligently and with resilience to coordinate our daily responsibilities and uphold the procedures that ensure we deliver the high-quality products our guests love.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the completion of daily production for bakery products consistently and efficiently without sacrificing quality
  • Measure and weigh ingredients accurately
  • Prepare frostings and glazes, as well as dough and other pastry items including rolling dough, making pop tarts, filling cake pans, cutting and baking cookies
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work environment and station on a daily basis

Qualifications

  • Able to lift 50+ pounds and stand comfortably for 8 hours
  • 1 year experience working in pastry or similar role preferred
  • Dedicated to working with a team towards one goal
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of the kitchen area
  • Highly adaptable to various situations and stress levels
  • This position asks for availability during the holidays and on weekends as needed as well as flexibility with schedule changes
  • Extremely reliable, and can ensure punctual attendance and work performance
