Description:
A leading law national law firm specializing in intellectual property law is seeking a patent paralegal to grow their team. They strive to provide comprehensive and detail oriented legal services to a diverse client base, including local and global innovators.
The Patent Prosecution Paralegal will assist with managing a variety of patent-related matters.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in patent prosecution. Familiarity with patent filing and prosecution procedures of the US and foreign patent offices. Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Proficient in using Patent docketing software, USPTO’s online resources (EFS-Web, PAIR), and Microsoft office suite. Ability to efficiently manage a high volume of work and prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and file patent applications and other patent documents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and foreign patent offices. Communicate with attorneys, clients, foreign associates, and USPTO officials regarding patent prosecution and procedures. Conduct patent searches and due diligence investigations. Monitor and manage patent dockets and deadlines. Draft and review formal documents, such as declarations, powers of attorneys, assignments, etc. Understand and follow complex patent rules and regulations; promptly configure and implement changes when they occur.
