Position Summary:
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON (USA). CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories has a new opening for a Transfusion Medicine Pathologist. Board certified Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine experienced candidates and recent graduates with strong fellowship training encouraged to apply. Transfusion/Blood Banking focus or General Surgical Pathology integrated sign-out practice options available. Part-time or full-time interest encouraged to apply. Seat flexibility in the Seattle/Puget Sound area including Seattle, Kirkland, Everett, Tacoma and Olympia areas. The successful candidate should be able to assume a typical full-scope transfusion medicine practice to include medical laboratory directorship and blood center operations including a full range of clinical consultation services and call.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must meet Washington and Alaska state licensing requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Pathologist with sub-specialty training from an accredited program.
  • Board certified AP/CP preferred with experience in hospital based pathology. Transfusion only also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operations
  • Ability to communicate with high level decision makers in the organization
  • Personal adaptability and ability to lead change.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged sitting
  • Computer use
  • Must be able to perform significant periods of diagnostic work thru visual inspection using a microscope
  • Must be able to fully utilize a microscope using hands and eyes
  • Must be able to stand at table for autopsy up to 2 hours
