Description:
The post holder will assist in providing interpretation of national and local developments in healthcare science education and training to other healthcare professionals and stakeholders, to enable a clear strategic direction for training within the department. The post holder will work directly with the Pathology Training Lead to take responsibility within Pathology for developing staff to meet the needs of a modernised Pathology service and to support national and local Healthcare strategies. This role with be responsible for the co-ordination of a pan-Trust training programme for the professional development of all non-medical staff groups (inc. competencies, professional qualifications, mandatory training and CPD).
The post holder will also be the Training Officer for Phlebotomy, Specimen reception and POCT to take day to day responsibility for training needs (e.g. competency programmes, IBMS portfolio programmes etc.). They will also be require to support where practicable the discipline specific Training Officers. Please see attached job description for further details
