Description:
The Patient Accounting Architect will understand workflows, integration and design decision impacts. The Patient Accounting Architect will be required to identify workflow and process improvements and be able to make recommendations with the Solution Strategist, Senior Architect, organization leadership and subject matter experts.
The Patient Accounting Architect will be required to understand and articulate financial impacts of workflow and technical decisions to key stakeholders. He/she will own testing, deployment strategies and post conversion responsibilities in the Patient Accounting solution. The Patient Accounting Architect is required to have a strong understanding of build and troubleshooting Cerner’s Patient Accounting and Charge Services modules.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide experience and expertise with and able to consult on any/all Model workflows applicable to the Rogers Behavioral Health, including but not limited to, Experian, pre-billing claims workflows, claims follow up workflows including denial management, cash posting workflows.
- Able to actively participate and provide recommendations on key RevCycle metric improvements, including DNFB Days, CCR, AR Days.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of any configuration tools for desired outcomes in the Cerner Patient Accounting space, including pft tools, ProFit Claim Manager, ProFit Business Manager, and RevCycle Maintenance as it relates to design and build.
- Demonstrate familiarity with project timelines and expectations including Agile for design, build and testing. In addition, the Patient Accounting Architect should be familiar with support processes for the Patient Accounting solution.
- Assists in organizational change management, helps end users identify opportunities for improvements, and is accountable for achieving targeted outcomes.

Education/Training Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts, Marketing or related field required. Master’s degree in related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years in Cerner Patient Accounting and related workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, customer focus, proficiency, leadership ability, and professional integrity.
- Self-starter attitude; comfortable with working independently.
- Electronic medical record software experience, with Cerner.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft® Office Products.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced detail-oriented environment while adhering to deadlines.
- Valid driver license. Must be granted insurable status by the Rogers Memorial Hospital insurance policy.
