We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Bookings Officer to join our GenesisCare team. The role will predominately be based at our head office in Alexandria, however the ability to work across other NSW sites will be required at times.
The Patient Bookings Officer is responsible for the scheduling and booking of patient appointments across all GenesisCare Oncology sites. This role is crucial to link between patients and clinical staff.
On offer is a permanent full-time role working Monday- Friday.

More specifically, you will:

  • Ensure a high level of patient service is provided including meeting patient needs, maintaining patient service levels and monitoring and reacting to patient feedback.
  • Customer Service for both face to face and telephone contact.
  • Be part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient services of the highest quality.
  • Respond to and resolve issues and provide a prompt service in line with expectations.
  • Work with colleagues and other administrative staff to achieve efficient and effective management of the patient journey throughout the Practice. Bookings Function.
  • Booking and confirming patients for Planning CT, Treatment, Nursing Review, Procedures and Consultations.
  • Maintaining appointment diaries and taking initiative to ensure sessions are fully booked.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

  • Demonstrate exceptional and in-depth medical administration experience and medical terminology with previous experience working in busy medical clinics.
  • Have high level communication skills, providing excellent patient care and communication.
  • Show strong organisation and communication skills.
  • Are self-driven and have the ability to work successfully, independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Demonstrate exceptional phone manner and ability to handle a high volume of patient tasks and enquiries.
  • Have high attention to detail and excellent organisational skills to enable resolution of urgent matters and time critical medical appointments.
  • Are proficient in clinical administration systems, as well as Microsoft Office software.
  • Have a collaborative approach in working with the wider administration team and both internal and external customers, in line with Genesis Values.
  • Have experience working with cancer patients (desired).
  • Are flexible to travel to sites and leadership meetings as required.
