QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year Prior experience in a healthcare related field Preferred
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities:

  • Performs delegated patient care activities as directed by the RN or medical staff upon completion of documented training, in a manner that is aligned with age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate and high-quality treatment of patients.
  • Documentation of patient care.
  • Participate in organization, cleaning and safety of unit.
  • Maintains unit supplies, prepares patient rooms and medical records, enters charges, and answers the multi-line telephone to assist in the safe and efficient operation of the unit.
  • Answers questions about treatment plan within the expected scope or refers questions to RN.
  • Make rounds and respond promptly to patient requests.
  • Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as directed.
