Responsibilities:
The Service Line navigator will be responsible for coordinating all patient care for selected surgical service lines at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
The Service Line Navigator is responsible for planning, facilitating, organizing, and directing surgical services in order to meet the needs of all customers and foster Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center s mission, vision and values. The individual takes a lead role in coordinating a multidisciplinary approach to planning and providing care, acting as a liaison between the patient, surgeon office, and the other ancillary practitioners and departments to insure that the needs and concerns of the surgical patients are addressed.
The Surgical Service Line navigator will be able to work closely with staff and communicate effectively with the surgical team. It is essential that the Service Line navigator have strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with team members.
As a patient advocate, the Navigator will assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
