Summary: Reporting to the Director, Operations or Director, Clinical Operations, Seniors Care, this key role provides operational leadership and support to interdisciplinary team members in the provision of quality care to patients/residents and their families. This position maintains responsibility in collaboration with a Physician Leader for effective and efficient delivery of services within designated sub-units of a large clinical program. Provides leadership and supervision to interdisciplinary staff including the requirement to supervise Clinical Nurse Leader(s) (CNLs) and/or Unit Supervisor(s) and/or equivalent nursing leadership roles in unit(s) that provide direct care to patients/residents. Promotes and facilitates the continuum of care delivery both internally and with external agencies in alignment with the Program goals and strategic direction by implementing and use of quality improvement, utilization management, staff development and resource management strategies. Works collaboratively within the Program Based Care Model and in concert with the Program Leaders, other Patient/Resident Care Managers, Practice Leaders, Corporate and Support Leaders. In addition, the position functions as the Site Leader for multiple sites or oversight of multiple programs within the site (e.g., Youville/Brock Fahrni, Langara, Holy Family) by working with clinical, corporate and support leaders to facilitate the smooth functioning of operations at the site(s) and with other site leaders to ensure standard application of corporate policies and regulations appropriate to the site activity.
Qualifications / Skills and Education: QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
The following qualifications and competencies are required to successfully provide the leadership necessary to fulfill the Mission, Vision and Values of Providence Health Care.

QUALIFICATIONS

Masters degree in a related Health Profession plus a minimum of five (5) years’ experience at the middle management level in a medium to large health care organization or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
