ABOUT US:

Our Support Services team provides a range of essential non-clinical services that help our hospitals operate. We provide food services, central production kitchen, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Join our team as a Patient Services Assistant Monash Medical Centre Clayton

  • Monday - Friday 10.00 – 18.30 ( 8 hour shift)
  • Saturday shift 8.00 – 16.30 (8 hour shift
  • Roster will be defined by the above shifts once applications have been received.
  • Please put in your cover letter what days and hours you are interested in.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Daily and Discharge Cleaning
  • General Cleaning within the unit
  • Waste segregation and removal.
  • Ward tasks – pathology and blood bank errands
  • Patient errands.
  • Patient transfers.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE - QUALIFICATIONS, LICENCES, MEMBERSHIPS,

  • Certificate 3 in Patient Services.
  • Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
  • A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service and cleaning in a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
  • Excellent understanding of infection control procedures
  • Basic to intermediate computer/digital skills
