About the role
Calvary Riverina Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Patient Services Officer who thrives in a busy environment to join our diverse, compassionate and dedicated team to provide effective and efficient administrative support and customer service. Our Patient Services Officer plays a key role in liaising with staff, clients and their families and ensuring the delivery of exemplary customer service. Working both collaboratively and autonomously you will utilise your strong administration, computer and communication skills in this busy health care setting.
This position will also provide administration relief to various departments over various shifts during periods of unplanned and planned leave. These departments include but are not limited to Patient Services, Ward Clerks, Reception and Health Information services.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service, greeting patients and answering phones
Preparation of patient’s paperwork
Fund checks and liaising with health funds and surgeon’s rooms
About you
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to work both within a team environment and autonomously
Proficient knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel Outlook)
A desire to join a Team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
