POSITION SUMMARY
The Patient Support Representative provides patient access and registration services using exceptional custom service, communication and people skills. The Patient Support Representative performs multiple tasks in a busy atmosphere and follows all federal and state laws regarding the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) with special regards to patient privacy.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school or GED equivalent education
- One year of experience

Responsibilities:
- You will obtain necessary consents, signatures and documents from the patient and verify that the patient and insurance verification has been completed
- You will schedule patient appointments and collect any co-pays at the time of service
- You will identify any potential coverage issues or self-pay issues and engage the financial advocates when appropriate
- You will enter patient information and scan required documents in the computerized scheduling system
- You will monitor the order and cleanliness of the lobby and waiting areas to maintain customer safety in these areas
