Description:

Robert Half Accounting Contract is seeking a Payment Compliance Analyst for a reputable financial services organization located in Vancouver, British Columbia.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that Peoples Financial Services and its partners remain compliant with the regulatory framework of Canadian payment system entities. This includes but is not limited to OSFI, FINTRAC, FCAC, Payments Canada, Interac, AMEX, UnionPay, Mastercard, Visa, and other payment network entities.

Responsibilities:

Communicate compliance requirements and operational impacts effectively to internal teams and external partners.
Make informed decisions based on data analysis, risk assessment, and comprehensive knowledge of payment network rules and regulations.
Build strong relationships across the organization and with external clients and network partners.
Maintain a high degree of accuracy, organization, and professionalism while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Work independently with good judgment and time management skills, while also collaborating with teams as needed.
Adapt to ambiguity and see the ‘big picture’ while tracking and managing deliverables to meet critical deadlines.
Identify opportunities to implement new technologies and develop new procedures to enhance compliance processes.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance or financial services, preferably in the card services or payments industry.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex compliance requirements clearly.
Ability to make clear decisions based on multiple data points and risk factors.
Proven ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
Independent thinker who can operate with little supervision.
Proficiency in the full Office 365 suite.
Compliance professional certifications (i.e., CAMS) considered an asset.
Experience with Money Service Businesses (MSBs) and Fintechs is an asset.
Experience in card issuing and merchant acquiring is an asset.
