Description:
Our client in Calgary is seeking a skilled and experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll administration and hold a PCP (Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation. The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for accurately processing payroll for the employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll administration.
PCP (Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation required.
Proficient in ADP, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll for employees accurately and timely.
Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings including taxes, insurance, and retirement contributions.
Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters.
Prepare and submit payroll reports to management as required.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate payroll data.
Ad-hoc duties as requested.
