Description:

We are on the lookout for a diligent Payroll Administrator to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in Lexington, Kentucky. This role is pivotal in managing payroll processes, overseeing accounts payable, and coordinating new hire onboarding and offboarding. Additionally, this role includes managing employee benefits and maintaining accurate credit records.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage bi-weekly/weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local laws
  • Maintain and update payroll records, prepare payroll reports, and resolve any discrepancies or issues
  • Oversee the processes of accounts payable including reviewing and verifying invoices, tracking expenses, and reconciling accounts payable transactions
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing offer letters, conducting orientation sessions, and setting up employee records
  • Facilitate offboarding processes, including exit interviews, equipment retrieval, and termination documentation
  • Administer employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits
  • Assist employees with benefit inquiries and claims, and coordinate with benefit providers
  • Manage annual open enrollment process and communicate benefit changes to employees
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to employee benefits
  • Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate customer credit records
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Payroll Administrator role within a Manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in using ADP for Financial Services and Payroll.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in 401k and RRSP Administration.
  • Familiarity with Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP).
  • Knowledge of Benefit Functions and Check Processing.
  • Experience in Credit Card Reconciliation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
