We are looking for a candidate with strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures, with full end to end payroll processing experience.
We are currently in a transitional period moving away from Sage 50 payroll to Moorepay in August, so good payroll system knowledge will be essential to working alongside the Moorepay project Manager. We run a four weekly lunar model payroll.

Responsibilities:

To provide accurate and timely payroll operations with HR administrative support to the business whilst delivering excellent service to colleagues across the business.

Lead and motivate the payroll team of 2.

  • Responsible and accountable for the four-weekly payroll, ensuring a timely and accurate delivery including new starters, leavers, calculating all types of payments and meeting the submission deadlines to HMRC, including year end.
  • Support the provision of Payroll related reconciliation including Gross>Net and reporting both scheduled and on demand to Finance.
  • Complete data analysis and reporting within all areas of the payroll.
  • Ensure the management of all types of leave e.g., holiday, sick, maternity etc is actioned effectively and correctly.
  • Develop and maintain company policies and procedures, governance and audit protocols are followed by ensuring appropriate controls are in place, processes and procedures documented and reviewed regularly and the highest standards of accuracy maintained.
  • Provide accurate advice to colleagues about pay including advising on appropriate legislation, tax, NI, all other deductions.
  • Manage the HR & Payroll inboxes ensuring emails are responded/actioned with a 24-hour SLA when necessary.
  • Ensure pension, P11d, and P11Db, P45 & P60, SAYE submissions/delivery by required deadlines.
  • Proactively keeping up to date and actively advising on new legislations communicating potential implications and making the internal changes as appropriate to timescale
  • Liasing with auditors informing of updates to processes and managing all audit requests as required and providing feedback on all questions arising.
  • Be responsible for ensuring all personal data and records are stored safely and destroyed correctly/within correct timescales as per required legislation.
  • Report on key KPI’s highlighting any concerns.
  • Manage SAYE and salary sacrifice schemes.
  • Manage and forward plan the payroll team effectively.
  • To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required.
