Overview:
Are you ready to take on a multifaceted role that combines payroll management with human resources coordination? We’re seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Payroll and HR Coordinator. In this role, you’ll be responsible for performing payroll functions, assist in administering benefit and HR programs, while ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll, benefits, or human resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Experience with payroll systems such as Ultimate Software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing concepts, payroll taxes, and employment laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to use sound judgment, initiative, and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and multitask effectively.
  • Flexibility in schedule, including occasional holidays and travel as required.

Responsibilities:

PAYROLL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process payrolls, including weekly pay, bonus, profit sharing, etc.
  • Manage voluntary and involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records, prepare accounting transactions and month end reporting.
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee information at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Human Resources Director on payroll-related matters.
  • Perform other duties as required to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.

BENEFIT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs such as profit sharing, retirement savings, health and dental plans, life and disability plans, and more.
  • Process new hire enrollments, terminations, and changes in benefit status.
  • Provide support to employees with benefit inquiries and issues.
  • Collaborate with HR Manager on special projects as needed.
