Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

MoneyLion is looking for a Payroll executive who has a strong numerical aptitude, excellent time management skills, and a detail-oriented working attitude to ensure that all transactions, reports, and submissions are completed within the time frame specified while understanding that you are handling sensitive information at all times. If you’re also familiar with labour legislation, we’d love to meet you. Ultimately, you will contribute to a smooth and accurate payroll process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Payroll

  • Implements and maintains payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and statutory deductions.
  • Check and maintain the employee profile details, bank details, tax file numbers, tax scale, deduction, and other payroll information in the payroll system.
  • Monitoring & checking monthly summary reports for payroll closing.
  • Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures as determined by the company and relevant the employment act.
  • Archiving all supporting documents as per payroll/retention policy and ensuring compliance with all audit requirements.
  • To maintain and monitor the employee health benefits platform.
  • To perform employee offboarding (CP22A & CP21 Tax Clearance).
  • To prepare the annual Form C return as well as the employees’ CP8D and EA forms.
  • Maintain effective internal controls for the payroll and equity functions and proactively work with management to identify process improvements and gaps.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll-related questions and issues, providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Regularly perform internal audits of payroll processes and records to ensure accuracy and compliance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
