Payroll Associate
About the Role
The Payroll Associate is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate production and distribution of payroll whilst providing excellent customer service when assisting employees with payroll enquiries. The incumbent may also be required to provide administrative assistance across a broad range of HR functions.
We are currently offering a $2,000 stay bonus to successful candidates!

Main Duties

  • Maintain employee information in MicrOpay, Kronos and ConnX, including:
  • Uploading new employee data
  • Maintaining computerised personnel files throughout this process.
  • Check daily clocking’s including maintenance of the Kronos time-keeping system and ensuring correct timekeeping adhering to award conditions.
  • Ensure the accurate processing, distribution, and reconciliation of Alphapharm’s payroll in accordance with relevant awards, agreements, policies, and legislative requirements.
  • Provide accurate information about superannuation to new and existing employees and ensure employee documentation is received within deadlines.
  • Prepare fortnightly and monthly reports for relevant department heads including absenteeism and time detail reports. Any other ad hoc reports as required.
  • Process payroll including pay-end-processes.
  • Prepare termination payments and other pay variations for employees as required.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of the payroll function with a focus on customer service and efficient streamlined processes.
  • Other duties as required by the Payroll Manager

About you

  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to prioritise effectively
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar payroll function
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships by establishing a positive connection with others and demonstrating interpersonal sensitivity
  • Previous experience with a payroll system (Micropay preferable)
