Description:
Frontier-Kemper, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our project site in Squamish, British Columbia
DESCRIPTION:
As a Payroll Clerk at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to the Business Manager, you will have the opportunity to compile all paperwork necessary for processing timesheets as well as personnel documents in preparation for entry. Completing the payroll cycle includes verifying reports and distributing payroll documents. This is a detail oriented and problem-solving position adhering to internal control guidelines. Knowledge of excel and an oracle- based accounting system is a plus along with good communication skills.
- Daily time entry
- Review/reconcile reports to verify accuracy
- Communicate with personnel as needed
- Respond to employee and jobsite inquiries to resolve discrepancies in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Distribute payroll documents
- Understand and follow internal control requirements
- Maintain compliance with the Union Project Labour Agreement
- Communicate new distiches to the Union halls
- Maintain dispatch records and associated information
- Collect, reconcile and provide new hire data to Human Resources
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Five or more years of Payroll experience
- Ability to multi-task to ensure that all deadlines are met while delivering effective results
- Ability to operate in a very fast-paced, dynamic environment and produce high output
- Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
- Good problem-solving skills and detail oriented
- Team player attitude
- Good attendance, reliability and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written skills in English language
- Strong organization skills
- Intermediate or higher sill level with MS Excel
- JD Edwards experience and union payroll experience are preferred but not required
