Payroll Specialist/HR Administrator

Acorn Distributors is seeking a motivated, self-starter with a strong eye for detail to process and reconcile payroll data on a bi-weekly basis. This position is responsible for payroll administration and general HR administration.

Job Expectations:

  • Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis with Paycor payroll and HRIS
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of payroll and HR functions
  • Processing of temporary employee agency weekly timecards
  • Special projects as event coordination and ad hoc tasks as needed
  • Recruit, screen and interview
  • Assist with company benefits administration
  • Assist with onboarding newly hired employees
  • Greet visitors and direct incoming calls

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of relevant HR payroll experience required
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of different types of payroll software
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
  • Good research and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees regarding their issues and concerns
  • Ability to multitask in an environment with specific deadlines
