JOB SUMMARY

From time to time, a criminal case ends with a wrongful conviction or sentence – there may have been errors at trial – or fresh evidence may have emerged. Sometimes there are developments in the law that require matters to be reassessed in the light of modern standards of fairness.
To support the CCRC to deliver, the HR team provides a complete in-house service to all staff. We are a small, but dynamic team, working on a varied and busy portfolio. This includes all Employee Relations, Recruitment, Learning and Development, Pay & Pensions, and Staff Wellbeing.
We are looking for an experienced Payroll & HR Systems Officer to join our HR team.
You will be responsible for supporting the development and ongoing roll out of our HR system, iTrent, including further development to the systems capabilities and the availability of the data reporting that the business needs. You will also be an expert in pay related matters, ideally including pensions. Our payroll function is outsourced, however it will be your role to ensure that all staff are paid correctly each month, submitting the relevant pay data to our provider and providing pay related advice to both staff and managers.
Our ideal candidate will have recent experience of working within a public sector HR or Payroll or Pensions team and will be confident in using a large HR system for a range of activities.
You will be joining a friendly HR team who all share the same passion and commitment to doing the right thing in the best way possible. We provide a supportive environment for each other and really do showcase the true meaning of teamwork.
Wellbeing, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our culture, and we provide an environment where everyone is heard, valued and respected.
