ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced Payroll Manager, with a strong understanding of Australian payroll processes and can translate those to your team.
You will be a supportive people leader and have a keen focus on customer needs and creating and delivering viable solutions that work for your customers. You also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and can build effective relationships with stakeholders.
We are looking for experience in managing a large, complex, and multi-layered payroll department, coming from a business with both a white- and blue-collar workforce. Your expertise in navigating multiple agreements and legislative changes will see you excel in this position.

You will also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Finance related discipline preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and maintaining strategic relationships with senior leaders.
  • Extensive payroll leadership experience essential, with minimum 7 years’ experience in Australian payroll.
  • Experience operating in payroll within an EBA environment.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of the HR / Payroll end-to-end process.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Motivating others to meet and exceed agreed service level agreements.
  • Continuously improving the payroll, time and attendance systems and processes to remove unnecessary complexity and increase efficiencies.
  • Strong leadership and development of Payroll team members, at differing levels of expertise and experience.
  • Build and maintain effective, positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
