Payroll Manager

Robert Half is seeking a project professional for an interim Payroll Manager opportunity for a large Nashville organization. In this contract Payroll Manager role, you will be helping test a new payroll system, parallel to the legacy system. If you have the ability to streamline processes, offer remarkable customer service, and produce timely, right, and compliant payrolls, this role may be for you. Major responsibilities

• Taking the lead on pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures, as well as troubleshoot anomalies
• Take responsibility for internal and external audits
• Provide information to senior executives and cross-functional business leaders and answer questions
• Join forces with fellow members of senior Finance leadership team
• Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis
• Keep track of records and oversee control systems to provide internal safeguards
• Suggest, lead, and work on projects to review and enhance current processes
• Certified Payroll Profession (CPP) certification urged
• Able to work with a vast variety of payroll applications
• You will perform well in this role if you have strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Workday experience preferred
• Foundational knowledge in Software Testing
• Comprehensive knowledge of ADP - Payroll
• Proficiency in Payroll Taxes
