POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the Finance team, the Payroll Manager and Stock Administrator is responsible for the accurate processing and reconciliation of Brain Corp’s’ exempt and non-exempt payroll on a biweekly basis as well as administration of the company’s stock plans. The Payroll Manager and Stock Administrator provides timely and accurate financial information while engaging in the day-to-day payroll and stock administration operations. The Payroll Manager and Stock Administrator will possess significant experience in multi-state payroll processing, the ability to multi-task within multiple services where required, and work in a challenging and ever-changing environment to deliver exceptional service.
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Accounting (or equivalent in education and experience).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in leading payroll responsibilities at a public or mid-size private organization.
- Experience working with automated multi-corporation, multi-state, payroll processing with in-depth knowledge of federal, state and local payroll tax regulations, especially CA wage and hour laws.
- Experience working with UltiPro/UKG, or equivalent HRIS systems, is required.
- Experience working with equity programs and equity management platforms.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
- Strong verbal and written client services skills.
- Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines.
- Strong Excel and Word skills.
- Highly motivated and team oriented with ability to collaborate and effectively work within cross functional teams.
- Human Resource and Payroll Experience with a Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and/or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred.
- Understanding of equity award types, equity taxation, and equity accounting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive compensation data.
