Description:
We are looking for a Payroll Officer to join the Payroll Team in our Business Services Division.
You will be responsible for the processing of all Payroll responsibilities on a weekly, monthly and annual basis, including mandatory returns to external bodies, the processing and control of Congress Salary Sacrifice (Fringe Benefits) Scheme as well as the timely processing of Sitting Fees for all Congress Board members.
You will relate well to the cultural perspective of a large Aboriginal Community Controlled Health organisation.
- Base Salary: $85,176 - $99,333 (p.a.)
- Total Effective Package: $105,979 - $121,979 (p.a.) *
- Full Time, Continuous Contract

Responsibilities:
You will have:
- Experience and understanding of payroll and accounts processes, including computerised payroll systems
- Ability to interpret industrial awards and knowledge of EEO, Occupational Health and Safety principles and superannuation
- Excellent liaison and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel
- Ability to function effectively in an Aboriginal organisation
- Experience with Fringe Benefits (Salary Sacrifice) Payments
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work with limited supervision, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
